Mobile Adoption

Welcome

Each year, thousands of animals are abandoned and must be euthanized throughout Northern California due to lack of shelter space from pet overpopulation. Since 1993, Hopalong Animal Rescue has rescued, fostered, spayed/neutered, and placed thousands of companion animals.

Together with Second Chance Rescue, our Marin-based office, we have helped find homes for over 16,000 animals. Each story is different and many are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common thread: an animal that deserves a second chance at life and a permanent, loving home.

Phoebe

Domestic Short Hair, 1-2 years, 7 lbs.

Foster home needed.

Phoebe is by far one of the sweetest and most affectionate cats we have seen. She adores people and loves nothing more than to sit on your lap, lie with you in bed, and help you with your day-to-day activities. Phoebe is battling an immune disease (non contagious to humans or cats) that is affecting her mouth, making it painful to eat without medication. She is looking for a foster that can care for her, giving her medication twice daily, while she gets past this illness. Her treatment, including extracting some of her teeth, will cost about $500.00. If you can help foster this wonderful girl, or help financially towards her treatment, please call Heather Romano at 510-267-1915 x103.
