Personality: Autumn is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She is a total lap cat and would love nothing more than to cuddle up all day with her people. Autumn is still a kitten and does have some kitten energy and does like to play at times too. Autumn is great with other cats and would probably do fine with small dogs. Personality: Little guy often goes by the nick-name "shadow" because he follows you everywhere and will be your little shadow! He has the biggest heart for his people, and he purrs the moment you start touching him. When he isn’t being petted, this little boy loves playing with toys and hanging out in his cat tree. Little guy does not get along with other animals---he prefers having all your loving attention to himself! This sweet boy would do well in a house with cat-savvy kids.

Personality: Wynken and Blynken are as different in personality as they are in appearance. Wynken is smooth and sleek and is very out going and curious. Blynken has soft long hair and is much more reserved than his brother. Blynken loves to sit up on the top of his cat tree and watch his brother play with feather toys on the ground. But as different as these two boys are, they absolutely love each other and we'd love it if they could get adopted together. These boys would do well in almost any home given time to adjust.

Personality: Spot got her nickname from a small white spot of fur on her chest. Spot also has a funny little tail! She has an outgoing and fun loving personality. She gets along really well with other cats, but wouldn't mind being your one and only either. Spot doesn't seem to mind calm dogs and would do well in a house with kids.

Personality: Peachy is a beautiful buff tabby girl and she has the personality to match! She is so easy going and she loves everyone she meets right off the bat! She gives head butts and sometimes gives little love bites as well. Peachy does ok with some cats, but would probably prefer to be an only cat if she had the choice. Peachy seems ok with calm dogs and would probably do fine with kids too.

Personality: Frodo is a silly boy! He is a bit of a clown and thinks that life was meant to be lived! This boy thinks that all people are his friends and were put on this earth to play with him! Frodo calms down nicely though and does his fair share of cuddling too. Frodo likes other cats and would prefer to live in a home with a friend. He seems ok with calm dogs and kids.

Personality: Sammie is a really sweet and affectionate girl. She is very inquisitive and likes to explore new surroundings. She loves tall cat trees and seems to like playing with toys. Sammie gets along ok with some cats, but would be fine as an only cat. Sammie gets very nervous around dogs so a dog-free home would be best. Sammie loves to be petted and loved on, but doesn't like to be picked up and held, so we feel a home with older kids would be best. Sammie's front feet are declawed.

Personality: Jill is a happy energetic young cat who loves to jump on her cat tree and execute acrobatic stunts like hanging on with just her front paws or leaping from shelf to shelf. She also likes to play with toy balls and mice, paper bags, and anything that moves (dangly toys or laser pointers). She likes to be stroked and played with and gets along with most other cats.

Personality: Hoppy is the best cat ever! She has a slight over-bite which gives her face an odd shape, but she still manages to eat just fine. This girl loves to be loved! She can also get quite playful giving little love bites when she is happy. Hoppy gets annoyed easily with other cats and would prefer to be the only cat in the house. We aren't sure how she feels about dogs just yet. Hoppy would probably do fine with most kids.

Personality: Zenobia is a wonderful and playful girl. She still has plenty of kitten energy but she settles nicely for lots of love! Zenobia really likes people and will be happy spending the day following her family from room to room. She seems to get along with most cats and doesn't seem bothered by most dogs. Zenobia would do fine in house with most kids.

Personality: Gracie is a very beautiful long haired girl, and she has the softest fur you will ever feel! Gracie also loves to be loved! She loves to be petted and brushed - she absolutely demands attention. She will even give you little "love-bites" if you stop petting her too soon! But because she does give "love-nips" we think that she would do best in a house with older kids, or with very cat-savvy kids. Gracie gets along great with other cats and would do fine with gentle dogs.

Personality: Pinky is a super fun cat! She is very inquisitive and she loves to explore her surroundings. Pinky does get along with other cats, but she really prefers people. She is looking for an interactive parent who will give her lots of love and attention. Pinky would do fine in a home with most kids and also seems to be ok with gentle dogs.

Personality: Rudy is a very curious cat! He likes to explore new places and new things. His favorite toy to play with are ping pong balls! Rudy can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but he warms up quick. Rudy does great with other cats and would love another cat companion. Personality: Shadow is a staff favorite here at Hopalong. He came to us earlier in the year when his owner died and it took him awhile to get over that loss. But with some time and patience, shadow has shown us that he still has a lot to give. He is out going and friendly with strangers and he still has bouts of playfulness with a wand toy. Shadow is great with other cats and has taught some of our shyer cats that people can be good too. He is patient with kittens and respectful of the space of other adults. Shadow is accepting of small, calm dogs. Shadow would do best in an adult home with other cats around.

Personality: These girls can be a bit shy at first and get nervous with loud noises or fast movements, but if you go slow and talk quietly the girls will settle down and come into your lap for loves. They are playful and curious kittens and enjoy playing with toys as much as they enjoy playing with each other. Because these girls are a bit shy, they would do best in a cat-savvy adult only home. These girls would prefer to get adopted together.

Personality: Larry is a beautiful sleek black kitty with a Siamese face. He gets along really well with other cats, but he can still be shy around new people at times. But once he gets to know you he comes running when you call. He isn't quite a lap kitty yet, but with some time and patience, he might be. Larry would do best in an adult only home with other cats.

Personality: Hannah is a beautiful girl with soft, rabbit like fur. She was born with a condition called Distichiasis which causes extra eyelashes to grow around her eyes. The ophthalmologist has seen her and feels that treatment is not necessary at this time. The condition has somewhat changed the shape of Hannah's eyes and seems to have a slight affect on her vision. She gets around just fine, but seems to have a hard time focusing on distance objects and fast moving things. This can make her a bit nervous at times and makes her wary of strangers. Once she knows you, Hannah is a very affectionate lap kitty. She has the biggest purr motor and likes to cuddle in and chew on long hair. Hannah is fine with other cats and gets along well with calm dogs. Hannah would do best in a quiet adult home.

Personality:  A gentle soul with pretty pale green eyes, Harmony makes a sweet companion. She likes to be near her human: she can often be found sitting at your feet or following you from room to room. She loves to be petted and brushed. She’ll greet you at the door and roll on her back to show how happy she is that you’re home. However, she’s not one to sit in a lap for long. She would be good for someone who appreciates this unobtrusive togetherness. Harmony is shy at first, but becomes expressive and playful as she settles in. She would prefer to be the only pet in the household and would be best in a quiet home.

Personality:  Artemis was rescued from a neighborhood in West Oakland and at the moment, the world is a bit scary for her. Given her beginnings, she will need a quiet home,  with a family/individual that has cat experience, and preferably with other cats.  Although shy and timid, Artemis is a friendly and affectionate cat.   Once this girl settles in, she could be a wonderful and loyal cat.

Personality:  Florence has been a great mom to Ally, Kalli, Palermo and Tweed (all adopted). It's always hard to see your kids leave the next, but it's time for Florence to have a family of her own and know that her babies are in loving homes.  Florence is a calm, easygoing cat who loves to be petted. But like many recent mom cats – she doesn’t like other cats or dogs (still has that defensive-protect-the-kittens-instinct).  So she would be happiest being the only pet of your affection.

Personality:  Katja was adopted from us as a kitten but was recently returned because she no longer got along with the older cats in the home. She does, however, do fine with dogs. Katja is sweet and very friendly with people. She loves to be petted. She is young and still has some kitten energy and likes to play with toys and hunt small bugs. Katja is also a bit of a talker. She would probably do fine in a house with most kids.

Personality: Cashew is a pretty shy kitten.  He is scared of many noises, but is getting bolder every day.  He's getting well socialized in his foster home.  Cashew would thrive in a home with a calm and quiet family and maybe one other cat, or maybe even one of his littermates (Pecan).
