Hopalong Animal Rescue

Community Resources

200x150

Hopalong & Second Chance Animal Rescue are very grateful for the many community partnerships which make our work possible, and to the other animal welfare organizations for the work they do. Together, we are making a difference. From all of us and the direct recipients of those services – our furry friends – we thank you.

Our Partners

We have many partnerships that enable us to help animals in need of a homes. We hope you will support the organizations that support us.

OUR PARTNERS

PETCO in Marin has generously donated to Second Chance Rescue and Hopalong over the years and many dogs have been adopted at their mobile site.

PET FOOD EXPRESS is a long-time partner in Marin and the East Bay, helping us with donations and allowing us to show our animals at mobile adoptions. They provide financial support through the My Mutt poster program and other incentive programs. They also host Virtual Pet Adoptions which features animals from all the local animal welfare groups in a one-stop shopping website.

WOODLANDS PET FOOD & TREATS provide regular mobile adoptions site the first Saturday of the month from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at this beautiful new pet store in the Strawberry Village in Mill Valley. They offer generous coupons to adopters.

PETSMART has given generously to Hopalong and has provided in-store, permanent mobile adoption sites that have helped place hundreds of cats over the years.

PET VET/PET FOOD has donated food and provides a great low-fee clinic that has served our animals over the years.

YOUR BASIC BIRD in Berkeley adopts out approximately 300 cats a year and was the first permanent adoption site we established 10 years ago. We also do mobile cat adoptions there on a regular basis.
* Your Basic Bird is a host site for our Digital video program that features adoptable animals on a video screen 24 hours a day.

PAWS ON PIEDMONT graciously hosts cat mobile adoptions monthly.  Paws on Piedmont is well-located with lots of foot-traffic leading to many wonderful adoptions.

PAWSTURES  is a recent addition to the family of Hopalong permanent adoption sites.  Select Hopalong cats or kittens enjoy a brief stay before moving on to loving adoptive homes.

FENTONS ICE CREAMERY has hosted several highly successful mobile adoptions.  They have also donated proceeds from ice cream sales on adoption day, naming a sundae after the organization.
