Mobile Adoption

Welcome

Each year, thousands of animals are abandoned and must be euthanized throughout Northern California due to lack of shelter space from pet over- population. Since 1993, Hopalong and Second Chance Animal Rescue has rescued, fostered, spayed/neutered, and placed thousands of companion animals.

In the last 18 years, we have found homes for over 18,000 homeless and ill animals. Each story is different and many are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common thread: an animal that deserves a second chance at life and a permanent, loving home.

Our rescue animals come to us at the time of their greatest need.  We do everything in our power to respond to this need, but our resources are limited.  Your financial support enables us to save and care for more animals while our foster homes provide a
safe harbor.   Please consider helping us in any way you can as we continue our life saving work.

Katja was adopted from us as a kitten but was recently returned because she no longer got along with the older cats in the home. She does, however, do fine with dogs. Katja is sweet and very friendly with people. She loves to be petted. She is young and still has some kitten energy and likes to play with toys and hunt small bugs. Katja is also a bit of a talker. She would probably do fine in a house with most kids.

With the Pet Survivor Program, you can have peace of mind now knowing that we will be your pet’s guardian later.
