Match / Workplace gifts

Double or even triple your charitable donations by tapping into your Employer’s Match/Workplace Gifts program.  Many people don’t even realize that their companies provide various ways for their employees to contribute to charities of their choice – so check your company out!

Ways employees can give through programs offered at work

Volunteer-grant programs, also known as “dollars for doers.”  Employees request grants from their employers to recognize employees who are actively volunteering which can equal hundreds or even thousands of dollars for eligible nonprofits.

Several employers will match funds for employees and even retirees who give regularly to charities and even provide the opportunity for people to add the charity of their choice to company listings of eligible nonprofits.

Certain companies focus their matching gifts or grants on specific areas such as education, children, or the environment. In addition to animal rescue, Hopalong has other programs that are customized for schools and youth-at-risk in the community (e.g. Hopalong Humane Education Program) — these types of programs may meet the criteria for your company’s match/giving.

If your employer has such a program, ask your HR Representative for a Match Form or visit your company website to access the form. Complete it and send it to our office at the address below. We will take care of the rest for you.
