Jack is a healthy 2 year old Terrier mix (see DNA below). He has a beautiful coat and is very smart and likes to be the "life of the party" at the dog park and doggie daycare. He's also very fast/agile and full of energy! He's up for the most challenging hikes and loves to be walked. He greets every dog with plenty of licks and loves being chased or wrestling with dogs of any size. He's quite shy around strangers and gets nervous in large crowds of people. He can be protective of his toys, food, or owners in close quarters with other dogs, but never shows aggression to his owners.
Very high energy dog but is pretty chill in the home and has a strong connection with humans in the sense that he will always want to snuggle with you on the couch, in your bed and will follow you everywhere you go in your home! He learned his new name, Jack, very quickly and has excellent recall. He likes squeaky toys and snuffle mats and is a sucker for bully sticks and milk bones. He is potty trained. He loves car rides with his head out the window. Probably not suitable as a second pet to another dog without some additional training but he was brought to your shelter with his sister. Probably advisable to also not be in a home with young kids as he can be scared easily by very sudden movements. Jack is one of the staff favorites at the local doggie daycare where he would play for ~3 days a week without issue.
