Junior is an active little Chihuahua/dachshund mix that loves to play with other dogs, chew on toys and bones, and just generally get into whatever mischief he can find. He loves his people and is always begging for lap time – napping in your lap might be his favorite thing ever. He’s very food motivated so he is easy to train. He has a big personality and the cutest expressions you’ve ever seen.
Junior is doing great with his potty training and uses the pee pad in his pen 99% of the time (even if he is outside of his pen he will run back into the pen to go). Junior is not a big barker but will get growly when other dogs get too close to his food. He’s been doing a bit of food guarding that his fosters are working on. He takes correction without cowering.
Junior and his litter mate, Carl, were originally put up for adoption as a bonded pair, but his fosters have recommended that they be split up as they’ve developed a bit of sibling rivalry (especially around food/treats/toys) that might not be easy to manage in the long term. He’s also bonded equally well with the other foster dogs in his foster home, and can often be found snuggling with Boba (also up for adoption). 3/18
